Pathogen/Aflatoxin tests
Aflatoxins are naturally occurring mycotoxins produced by many Aspergillus fungi. Aflatoxins are among the most carcinogenic substances known. The native habitat of Aspergillus is in soil, decaying vegetation, hay and grain.
Crops that are frequently affected include cereals (maize, sorghum, pearl millet, rice, wheat), oilseeds (peanut, soybean, sunflower, cotton), spices (chilli peppers, black pepper, coriander, turmeric), and tree nuts (almond, pistachio, walnut, coconut, brazil nut).
The toxins can also be found in the milk of animals fed contaminated feed.
We have different types of analyses, based on validated ELISA kits from BioRad or Real Time PCR.
