Local Quality, Environment and Work Environment Policy

Intertek ScanBi Diagnostics strives to meet our customers' expectations of service and quality by maintaining a high and consistent quality of operations. The analytical methods used in testing and the management system that governs the business shall comply with applicable requirements from authorities and organizations. The management system applies to quality according to SS-EN ISO17025: 2018, environment according to SS-EN ISO14001: 2015 and health and safety environment according to Swedish health and Safety law.

We strive to:

  • Deliver high quality in terms of organization management, impartiality routines and daily operations processes. This is so that the result will be accurate, reproducible and independent of who initiated or performed the laboratory work.
  • Minimize our environmental impact and take measures that promote positive life cycle processes and reduce the negative impacts on the environment. Great emphasis is placed on chemicals, transport, energy minimization, waste management and hazardous waste.
  • Promote a work environment where the employees' physical, mental and social needs are prioritized. Encourage the participation of our employees in the development of the company, promote commitment and provide the opportunity for personal development and education when needed. In the event of changes in the company, we do a risk analysis to avoid that the change will have a negative impact on our working environment.

We do this by:

  • Maintain and develop staff knowledge and skills through relevant continuous education, and secure all personnel are correctly trained and follow routines.
  • Secure the equipment is appropriate for its purpose and maintained to ensure high quality of our service but also to provide the highest possible safety in use. The environmental impact shall be considered when new procurement is done.
  • Reduce the use of harmful chemicals and, if possible, replace them with less harmful alternatives.
  • Sort waste to optimize recycling of materials and minimize the amount of hazardous waste by choosing more environmentally friendly alternatives.
  • Continuously work with risk assessments and educate and inform the personnel on the risks involved in the operations. Ensure that personal protective equipment is used.
  • Promote staff involvement by frequently organizing business days where important changes in our company are discussed and our set goals are reviewed. We also share our knowledge in various areas of expertise and build a strong organization by team building activities.

Through continuous improvements and active quality, environmental and health and safety environment work, we strive to increase customer satisfaction, reduce the environmental impact of the business and work towards an improved work environment.
Intertek ScanBi Diagnostics has established and measurable quality, environmental and health and safety environment goals that are regularly monitored and revised. 
Intertek ScanBi Diagnostics strives to continuously improve the efficiency of the management system and undertakes actions to meet the requirements that our accreditation and certification organizations require us to comply with, including laws and regulations.
